   Franklin County is one of the smallest counties in Texas with a population of a little more than 8500. It is located  100 miles Northeast of Dallas near Lake Cypress Springs and Lake Bob Sandlin. Both Lakes have great fishing and they are surrounded by pine trees and hard wood trees. There's also boating, skiing, hunting, and golfing for the sportsman. Farm and ranches make up a great deal of the county. Agriculture, oil and gas production make up the basic of the economy.
